Announcement: Bachfest Leipzig, 2019

Bachfest Announcement post!

I deliver my best news: I will be attending the annual Bachfest in Leipzig, Germany. This is the largest Bach event in the world, held right in the city where he lived and worked most of his professional life. I will be attending almost 40 events in 10 days, including 6 tours to churches Bach most likely visited and played the organs. I will be journaling/blogging every day, live posting as much as I can. Follow me on my website http://www.michaelrosin.com > “Blogs, Essays, & Research” > “Bachfest 2019”, or my personal blog here. *Quick aside – I just uploaded a whole bunch of lectures and performances in the “videos“ section of my website!*

Follow hashtags #Bachfest #JSBach #Leipzig #Bachtour2019 #JSBMCR #Bachpilgrimage #TheMusicThatSpeaks #TMTS & #Bachfest2019 and of course, the Bach-Archiv Leipzig Facebook Page.

This is a rite of passage; a pilgrimage. Bach is the foundation. My favorite composer and first love.

I’m taking the long way there: First stop tonight is Paris for a few days, then Barcelona, then Leipzig. Gone for 3 weeks – Goodbye 🇺🇸! Hello 🇫🇷, 🇪🇸 & my spirit land, 🇩🇪.
